Chelsea to bid for Italian International.
Chelsea are reportedly readying a heavy bid for Lazio and Italy midfielder Antonio Candreva,Football Italia reports.
The current Azzurri head coach and the soon-to-be Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been impressed by the player’s performances for the national side, as their team has cruised to an impressive two-out-of-two winning record at the ongoing Euro 2016.
The 29-year-old is capable of playing in many positions on the pitch, as he can either play as a wing-back or a wide forward, or even be used in midfield or as a part of trident attack.
He has wonderful ability of crossing the ball – like he did for Graziano Pellè’s goal against Belgium earlier this week – but has also a good eye for goal. Candreva is particularly strong with long-range free-kicks, and got 12 goals to his name in 44 appearances for Lazio last season.
