Alvaro Morata will join Real Madrid first team.
Real Madrid today confirmed the signing of Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, exercising their £23m buy-back clause after selling him two years ago.
Chelsea and Arsenal have been heavily linked to the 23-year-old Spaniard in recent days and reports suggest Real Madrid will sell Morata to the highest bidder.
However, the statement released by Real Madrid suggested Zinedine Zidane wants the sought-after striker to link up with the Real Madrid first team for pre-season.
The statement released on Real Madrid’s website late on Tuesday afternoon reads:
“Real Madrid CF has informed Juventus FC of the decision to rescue the federative rights of the player Alvaro Morata, who will join the first team in the pre-season on the orders of Zinedine Zidane.”
